If you have been reading the frontpage (and can understand danish) you might have noticed the raids against edonkey servers that Anti Pirat Gruppen (The Anti Pirate Group) performed last night.
Anti Pirat Gruppen has been very agressive lately, raiding netparties, dorms, private FPT servers etc, charging people with copyright infringement. This lates action against edonkey in particular makes it a bit too risky for my tastes to run large public donkey servers in Denmark. Even though one could argue (and I have been arguing alot with myself today) that only very few people have commercial interest in Anime in Denmark, and that it would be unlikely that APG would target an anime server, I still think it would be best for the future health of my private economy if I shut down the server. At lest until APG looses interest in donkey again.
Therefore, as of writing this the AR server will be closed.
I would really like your input in this sutiation. Is closing the server a prudent move? Or am I just being paranoid?
